In fh4 we were given the option between performance and quality on the one x and after being used to 60fps its extremely obvious how bad everything blurs just turning a corner. I don't understand, the one x is more than capable of handling 60fps. I hear that they tried to pass this decision off as the devs not wanting it to feel so competitive but that's 100% bs. If ranked was included and the game released like that even all the paid-for good ratings wouldn't be enough to mask the honest/real ones.
Im surprised they even included the online "horizon open" at all without fixing any of the problems that were on fh4. Its literally exactly the same besides different font for the words and a different loading backround. Makes me sick how lazy and shameless the devs are. They completely ruined the one game ive been looking forward to for months now and the only one I've EVER pre-ordered in my life. There is some pop in but I don't see it much due to me focusing on the road.
I do agree with some that a native 1440p 60 with the quality mode settings would be preferred in this case rather than 4K. Though quality mode doesn't feel bad at all either. Xbox Series X Performance - 4k60fps, lower scene density and slightly more aggressive LOD management. Uses DRS and can drop as low as 1600p in especially demanding areas. Xbox Series S Performance p60fps with DRS enabled, can drop as low as 810p on high stress areas.
Identical visual settings to series X performance mode. Looks very similar to the Series X and S performance modes, but runs at a locked 4k resolution. Playground Games has delivered their latest masterpiece with Forza Horizon 5, which features the series' most diverse map and largest car list yet.
Forza Horizon 5 somehow fulfills its ambitious promises to be the best open-world racer right now, and one of the best racing games in general. In most ways, Forza Horizon 5 is an irrefutable success story. However, many players that have experienced Playground Games' latest masterpiece have also encountered a myriad of bugs and issues, many of which detract from FH5's online modes and deter progression. Playground Games has been transparent and communicative about working on these issues, and recently released the Dec. 3, 2021 patch update for Forza Horizon 5 to fix many of these problems.
Meanwhile you can also check your network settings in both Xbox and Windows PC to check if the issue is from your end. In Xbox go to settings, network, make sure your NAT type is set to "Open". And on PC, check the "Network" tab within your windows Xbox app.
Confirm that your NAT type is "Open" and your Server Connectivity is not "Blocked". If so rectify these two issues and try again to join with your friends. With no official fix available as of now, don't worry this issue is talked about in the Twitter feed.
Many players are not able to create convoys the conventional way. And even the devs have acknowledged this issue on Twitter. So currently they are working on this issue, and a fix will be available soon. We hope the fix is released and we can't wait longer to play with friends in convoy. Since its introduction in Forza Horizon 3, Convoys have been a vital part of the series. You can play with your friends, other similar minded players, or even other Drivatars in Convoy in Forza Horizon series.
So we are ready to have more adventure to explore the map and complete races together with friends in convoy. But unfortunately, many players are unable to create a convoy with friends. So if you facing the same issue, then here's how to fix Forza Horizon 5 multiplayer convoy not working.
Running a multiplayer test can help players identify any related issues that may be affecting the ability to join or create a convoy. As such, players will need to go to their console settings via the guide, select All Settings and then select the Network option. If it's been a while since you acquired your last vehicle, you can check outall the cars inForza Horizon 5and decide which one of them you'd like to unlock once you get back into the game. When the servers get over-run with more players than expected, they may struggle to keep up with the demand and go down as a result.
When the servers go down, errors like the Disconnected from Server may start appearing since the game's online features won't work. In our Forza Horizon 5 review, we concluded that Playground Games has delivered the unchallenged champion of open-world racers, and is the quintessential choice on our list of best Xbox racing games. This remains true, even with the persistent online flaws that afflict the title in the weeks after launch.
If you want to learn more about this excellent game and everything it has to offer, be sure to check out our ultimate guide to Forza Horizon 5. I still think the game is absolutely gorgeous, but yes you definitely do notice pop-in while in performance mode. I'm really hoping they patch in a performance mode that targets 1440p while keeping the higher settings of quality mode.
Now, with Forza Horizon 5, as polished as a game of this ilk can be, there are still issues that plague the game. From unknown crashes to teleporting cars, there are simply some bugs that have slipped through the cracks for players to both enjoy if they're funny, or rage at if they interrupt their race. Moreover, even if the game has been playtested a hundred times, there's no replacement for thousands of players jumping in and doing their best to break as much as they can.
This, therefore, means that no matter what, there will always be some glitches that occur. That's everything about how to fix Forza Horizon 5 multiplayer convoy not working. Also if you are new to the game and not sure how to play with friends, make sure to check out our Multiplayer Guide to set up a convoy easily.
Also, check out other tips & tricks in our Forza Horizon 5 Guides. As players are unable to join or host a convoy in Forza Horizon 5, the issue may be possibly linked to the Xbox Live service. If you're unable to join a convoy or experiencing irregular issues within a convoy, the developers are aware of the issue.

Despite there being several great Xbox One exclusives, Microsoft's last console generation was criticized for not having as strong of exclusives as the PlayStation 4. However, many players believe that 2022 will finally see the release of several high-quality Xbox exclusive games. This number will likely be bolstered by recent acquisitions such as ZeniMax, the parent company of developer Bethesda. DoctorTide's Reddit Post lists several exclusive games fans should be excited for, including Redfall, Starfield, and Hellblade 2. The Forza Horizon 5 Dec. 3, 2021 patch update focused primarily on fixing online issues, especially with Horizon Arcade.
While it is now considerably easier to complete Horizon Arcade events, even by yourself, other elements of FH5's online portions haven't improved. Players are reporting that Horizon Life is now rarely populated by more than one or two additional players, and Convoys are still plagued with the same problems. Personally i much prefer the 60fps in performance mode. It's a trade off between slight pop up in perf-mode and 30fps in quality mode.
Called in sick to work to play a few hours today lol. Such a fantastic game, especially on the Series S with the fast loading. Looks exceptional in quality mode although I did end up switching to performance mode like I always do. Even had my mum come walk past and say "Wow the graphics are amazing, just like real life".
Performance mode is meant to be like this, I believe. If you can stomach the 30fps, I recommend quality mode. I don't know if its locked at 30 or not, but I quickly adjusted and much prefer it over performance. I just downloaded it and gave it a go, driving through the jungle it's definitely noticeable, the trees and their shadows updating in your path so clearly is pretty disappointing in performance mode. I would've sacrificed resolution for a super smooth drive tbh. I tried 30 but it looked stuttery, I just can't go back to it for a racing game.
I don't care if it's not native res, especially on a racer. They're already using dynamic resolution, so I wonder what the reasoning is to only offer two modes. What's not getting mentioned so much is just how slick and bug free the whole package is.
I'm judging it on the Series X version, been playing all afternoon. I've not seen a single piece of weird behaviour from the trashed scenery, or physical objects behaving erratically. Started on Quality mode until after the first event, switched to Performance and won't go back. Can't see any difference, except for the massive improvement from FPS, and didn't notice a single dropped frame , or resolution being scaled. I've dropped off the server a couple of times, after inactivity, but it will just reconnect without fuss, giving you a wee box to say it will reconnect in X seconds, no drama. Menu transitions are flawless, load times are barely there, apart from the initial 20 seconds from a cold start.
And it works perfectly with Quick resume out of the box. I hope this lays down the gauntlet for all future first party releases, whatever the stripe. Moreover, it looks like another issue is preventing players from joining a convoy with the game getting stuck on an infinite loading screen. Players say they are disappointed since they are unable to enjoy the game with their friends. With the biggest list of manufacturers and models in the series' history, players will want to set their sights on the best cars from the outset.
To fix Forza Horizon 5 multiplayer convoy not working, you need to first start a Horizon Solo session, and then with your friends online, invite and start a Convoy right from there. According to some replies to this issue in Reddit, one workaround, for now, is that you need to start an event by inviting your friends. Then complete the entire event with the same group of friends till the end. Forza Horizon 5 is currently plagued by several bugs and errors, just like almost every multiplayer game.
Players are experiencing a variety of issues from multiplayer errors, game crashing upon loading and, in particular, the convoy multiplayer feature not functioning. Though developers try to iron out as many bugs as possible before a game's release, some unexpected errors can always arise at the last minute when players flood into the servers. Many players have had a challenging time finding Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles to purchase in the first year of their lifecycles. While the length of the shortage seems extreme, unfortunately, it's looking as though this scarcity may continue through 2022. In a thread about delays, Redditor Busy_Service_3924 predicts that it won't be until 2023 that the Series X is readily available on shelves, and several others agree.
Unfortunately, the combination of worldwide shipping issues and part scarcity make this prediction more than possible. All the latest gaming news, game reviews and trailers The go-to source for comic book and superhero movie fans. Forza Horizon 5 early access has begun today, which is why you may see other players enjoying it online. However, for those who want to play the racing game as part of their Game Pass subscription, you'll be left waiting until next week.
Premium Edition is the only way you'll be able to play today, while everyone else can join in on November 9. It's worrying that they won't tell us the resolution and frame rate of the Xbox one like they did with the next gen consoles. Last time a dev team was secretive about the performance of a game on certain systems was cyberpunk, and we all know how that went down...... Both performance and quality mode target a full 4K, so to get to 60 fps you have to take from somewhere else. I wholeheartedly think that Performance mode should not target 4K and instead 1440p which is natively supported by XSX.
The raw pixel count can translate better in other effects so this decision of them is very confusing. Playing the series X version on an og xbox one is not something I ever expected, but here we are. Out of the games I've tried, most play better streamed than local, it's wild. Some games lag enough to be an issue, it was painful to try Destiny 2 for instance, but the others had unnoticeable delay if any at all and that's pretty wild to me. Cloud streaming on the xbox had become my primary way of playing gamepass games. Add all the extra graphics settings set to High, and it would be amazing.
In a perfect world console games would have PC styled settings where you can pick resolution, framerate, and graphical prefixes. The game maintains the target framerates on each console extremely well. The XB1X version doesn't have a performance mode like FH4 did, but I'm impressed that it's actually native 4k. The vanilla XB1 has quite a few compromises beyond the resolution but still manages to look great, roughly in line with how FH4 looked on it.
I wish Playground would give us an alternate 60fps performance mode that eschews 4k in favour of higher graphical settings. Higher visual density and less aggressive LOD management at 1440p or something is what I'd prefer over 4k, which I really don't care for as much. I can't go back back to 30fps after playing this at 60fps.
